While the wielder is holding a weapon empowered with  Shillelagh, and when they are hit by a melee attack, the attacker takes ⁠Piercing Damage equal to the wielder's Wisdom modifier.

Regarding Ironvine:

• Ironvine only activates if the wearer takes damage. For example when damage is reduced to 0 by  Arcane Ward, no damage is done to the attacker.
