Iza Blouin is a sceptical reader of the Baldur's Mouth Gazette during Act Three.
Got a tip for you, mate. Don't believe everything you read.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Act Three[edit | edit source]

Iza Blouin and Sharlz Molar Sharlz Molar are in Baldur's Gate next to the Waypoint Map Icon.pngLower City waypoint at X: -50 Y: -55. Like many Baldurians, Iza and Sharlz are concerned about the state of the city, but neither are assured in the gazette's reporting of actual issues.

Idle banter[edit | edit source]

  • Sharlz Molar
Gazette has a transcript of a conversation with Archduke Gortash.
    • Iza Blouin
What's he got to say for himself?
      • Sharlz Molar
Lots of talk about the brilliant future of Baldur's Gate, city of steel and justice.
        • Iza Blouin
Does he say anything about the horrible present of Baldur's Gate, city of crime and chaos?
          • Sharlz Molar
No. He mostly avoids that topic.
  • Iza Blouin
Huh. Now that's something you don't see in the Mouth every day. (If the Gazette publishes a positive article on the party)
    • Sharlz Molar
What's in this edition? More Absolute scaremongering?
      • Iza Blouin
A positive headline. About a group of adventurers, no less.
        • Sharlz Molar
Adventurers, necromancers, cults... Where's the reporting on real things? How do 'adventurers' help us normal folk? Not one bloody bit, that's how.
  • Iza Blouin
Adventurers aid Absolute... Reckon there's any truth to that? (If the Gazette publishes a negative article on the party)
    • Sharlz Molar
Truth? In the Baldur's Mouth Gazette?
      • Iza Blouin
The Gazette can't be wrong all the time. Adventurers are basically mercenaries. Stands to reason some of them would side with a mad cult if it paid well enough.
        • Sharlz Molar
What difference does it make? Cults come and go, and so do adventurers. The Gazette never prints anything that'll affect us regular folk. S'all a distraction.
  • Iza Blouin
Gods, you'd hink the late Lord Gortash was a saint the way the Gazette goes on about him. (If Enver Gortash is killed)
    • Sharlz Molar
Yeah, they've really made a meal out of the 'Death of Gortash' stuff.
      • Iza Blouin
Won't tell us how Gortash died though, will they? Classic Baldur's Mouth.
        • Sharlz Molar
          Shoddy journalism indeed.
