Notes

  • This only triggers on melee unarmed attacks, not on Throw Throwing attacks.
  • The effect cannot stack beyond +1 with subsequent unarmed attacks, even if performed on the same turn.
  • Though seemingly a great choice for the Elemental Disciplines of Way of the Four Elements monks, the effect only lasts until the beginning of the wearer's next turn, limiting its usefulness to scenarios such as the following:
    • A monk could use Flurry of Blows Flurry of Blows (bonus action) before performing an action on the same turn imposing a spell DC saving throw.
    • One could use their action to perform an unarmed attack, then cast a spell with a bonus action, such as via Metamagic: Quickened Spell Metamagic: Quickened Spell.
    • One could use some means of gaining additional actions during their turn, such as from being Hastened Hastened or using an Elixir of Bloodlust Elixir of Bloodlust.
    • One could use an action that imposes saving throws throughout multiple turns, such as Clench of the North Wind Clench of the North Wind. The effect need not be active when the action is first used; the attacker can perform an unarmed attack on a subsequent turn to impose the harder spell save DC for that turn.
