Upper City
Lower City
The Upper City is a region in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3.
Beyond that gate is the Upper City, housing the great and the good of Baldur’s Gate.

Overview[edit section | visual editor]

The Upper City is a region in Baldur's Gate in Act Three. It is the wealthy district of Baldur's Gate, that lays north of the city's oldest wall and its namesake gate. It is home to the city's noble patriar families, who typically live in estates. Contrary to the rest of Baldur's Gate where the Fist operates, the upper city has its own law enforcement called The Watch. The Watch are well-trained and authorised to use lethal force if patriars are threatened.[1]

In-game, only a small part of the upper city is available,[2] although several places are mentioned. For example; the High House of WondersHigh House of Wonders[3], the shops Dersu's Vintage Tipple[4] and Fine Fabrics[5], as well as estates typically owned by patriars.[6]

Access[edit section | visual editor]
