Hunters seek the most dangerous prey in Faerûn, from ancient dragons to massive hordes of undead, and excel at slaying them all.

Hunter is one of the Subclasses of Ranger. These Rangers are more specialized in dealing high damage to enemies, using spellcasting and a ranger's knowledge to hunt down their target.

Subclass Features

Level 3

  • Hunter's Prey (Choose 1):
Hunter's Prey Description Grants
Colossus Slayer Once per turn, your weapon attack deals an extra 1d8 damage if the target is below its Hit Point maximum.
Giant Killer If a Large or bigger creature attacks you, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack.
Horde Breaker Target two creatures standing close to each other, attacking them in quick succession.

Level 7

  • Defensive Tactics (Choose 1):
Defensive Tactics Description Grants
Escape the Horde Opportunity Attacks against you have Disadvantage.
Steel Will Advantage on Saving Throws against being Frightened.
Multiattack Defence When a enemy attacks you, they suffer -4 penalty to additional Attack Rolls against you until start of their next turn.

Level 9

  • Volley Fire a cassacade of arrows upon nearby enemies.
  • Whirlwind Attack Whirl your body around striking all nearby foes.
