Maghtew will attack along with the other followers in the Barracks if the party initiates combat through dialogue with Kressa or if attacked. If left alone, he will move to his room in the north-east part of the Barracks, greeting the player with "May death claim you soon" and "Your bones be blessed" if spoken to.
His journal found in his room reveals that he is the husband of Kressa Bonedaughter and that they were formerly country surgeons from Nashkel. After joining the Myrkul cult, Kressa's obsession with her tadpole research as well as a "pet" she used for her experiments has estranged him from his wife.
