Phase spiders are slippery opponents, capable of striking at great distances and bypassing control and area-denial effects like {{SAI|Spike Growth}} using their {{SAI|Ethereal Jaunt}} ability. Unprepared parties will have even more difficulty closing gaps if they cannot cross the {{Area|Web (surface)}} surfaces in the spiders' lair. Phase Spiders are a type of Monstrosity and non-playable race in Baldur's Gate 3. They can phase teleport to travel short distances instantly.

Phase Spiders are giant spiders with the ability to phase in and out of the Ethereal Plane. This ability allows Phase Spiders to travel short distances very quickly, and can appear like the creature is teleporting.

Attacks and abilities[edit | edit source]

Surrounded by silver mist, you teleport to an unoccupied space you can see.
 Range: 22 m /  ft
D6 Piercing.png 1d6 (1~6) Damage TypesPiercing damage

Bite a target and possibly Poison Poison it.

Phase spiders are slippery opponents, capable of striking at great distances and bypassing control and area-denial effects like Spike Growth Spike Growth using their Ethereal Jaunt Ethereal Jaunt ability. Unprepared parties will have even more difficulty closing gaps if they cannot cross the Web Web surfaces in the spiders' lair.
