This page lists the various creature types found throughout Baldur's Gate 3.

Aberration[edit | edit source]

Main article: Aberration

Aberrations are strange, unnatural creatures that aren't easily categorised into any single type. They do not fit neatly into the natural order, with no evolutionary predators or prey.

Beast[edit | edit source]

Main article: Beast

Beasts are the non-humanoid, but natural, inhabitants of the world. The Beast type generally consists of common animals, such as bears or rats.

Celestial[edit | edit source]

Main article: Celestial

Celestials are the inhabitants of the Upper Planes, and the cosmological counterpart to Fiends.

Construct[edit | edit source]

Main article: Construct

Constructs are mechanical and non-biological creatures.

Dragon[edit | edit source]

Main article: Dragon

Dragons are ancient reptilian creatures, usually with elemental abilities and resistances.

Elemental[edit | edit source]

Main article: Elemental

Elementals are the inhabitants of the Elemental Planes.

Fey[edit | edit source]

Main article: Fey

Fey creatures are creatures connected to the magic of nature.

Fiend[edit | edit source]

Fiends are the inhabitants of the Lower Planes.

Giant[edit | edit source]

Giants are enormous creatures that may resemble Humanoids, but often have monstrous properties.

Humanoid[edit | edit source]

Main article: Humanoid

Humanoids primarily consist of non-monstrous, bipedal and intelligent creatures. Many are civilised and social creatures, though some are less so.

Monstrosity[edit | edit source]

Main article: Monstrosity

Monstrosities are monsters, usually magical in ability or creation.

Ooze[edit | edit source]

Main article: Ooze

Oozes are amorphous, gelatinous creatures. Usually minimally intelligent, they are predatory.

Plant[edit | edit source]

Main article: Plant

Plants plant-like and fungal creatures (despite fungi not being classified as plants in real-world taxonomy).

Undead[edit | edit source]

Main article: Undead

Undead are magically reanimated creatures.
