Bhaal's Power Word Kill Ritual is a unique spell cast by Farslayer of Bhaal Ghislev which casts  Power Word Kill on a target after completing a multi-turn ritual. Upon completion, the target of the ritual dies instantly if below 101 hit points.

Duration: 5 turns

• As part of the challenge to enter the temple, the Farslayer has begun chanting. It can cast  Bhaal's Power Word Kill once its profane ritual ends. Exiting the Farslayer's chanting range of 55 m / 183 ft makes its enemies invulnerable to the effect. Slaying the Farslayer stops the ritual and wins the conflict.

Notes

• The duration of the ritual depends on the difficulty:
  • On Explorer, it will be complete after 7 rounds.
  • On Balanced, it will be complete after 6 rounds.
  • On Tactician and above, it will be complete after 5 rounds.
• While this spell is not concentration, the ritual can be interrupted in a number of ways similar to concentration spells. For example,  Silencing,  Stunning, or knocking Ghislev  Prone will all cancel the ritual. More generally, inflicting any condition from the following groups will also interrupt the ritual:
  • Incapacitated (status group)
  • Unconscious (status group)
  • Frightened (status group)
  • Fleeing (status group)
  • Petrified (status group)
  • Stunned (status group)
  • Prone (status group)
• While performing the ritual, Ghislev is unable to perform any other action.
