Chromatic Orb: Acid is a level 1 evocation spell. This spell is a variant of Chromatic Orb. This variant allows spellcasters to hurl a globe of acid, dealing Acid damage and creating an Acid Surface.
Description
Hurl a sphere of energy that deals 2d8
Acid damage and creates an Acid Surface.

Creates Area: Acid Surface
At higher levels
- Upcast: Casting this spell at a higher level deals an extra 1d8Acid damage for each Spell Slot Level above 1st.
Area: Acid Surface
The spell creates an area with the following properties.
- AoE: 2 m / 7 ft (Radius)
Duration: 2 turns
Creatures within the area are affected by the following conditions:
Acid- Reduces
Armour Class by 2.
How to learn
Classes:
- Class Level 6: College of Lore Bard via Magical Secrets
- Class Level 10: Bard via Magical Secrets
Notes
- Also granted to Warlocks who choose the Eldritch Invocation Book of Ancient Secrets at level 7+. When gained in this way, the spell can be cast once per Long Rest and doesn't expend Spell Slots.
