Shield of Devotion

Shield of Devotion is a very rare Shield that grants a Level 1 Spell Slot, Shield Bash, and allows the wielder to cast Shield of Devotion: Aid at Level 3 Spell once per Long Rest.

Any tales about the  Paladins of Velen are so ancient as to be almost certainly hearsay. Irrefutable, however, is the powerful blessing they left on this ancient shield, which inspires heart-fluttering bravery to this day.

The wearer of this item gains:

Heal yourself and increase your hit point maximum by  10 hit points. ( Recharge: Long rest.)

Additional Spell Slot

You gain 1  Level 1 Spell Slot.

Shield Bash

When a foe hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to knock it  Prone unless they succeed a  Dexterity Saving Throw.

Notes

• The version of Aid granted by this item only affects the wielder and is always cast at level 3.

Regarding Shield Bash:

• This reaction triggers the class action  Shield Blow against the attacker.

Bugs

Regarding Additional Spell Slot:

• Additional Spell Slot can grant an extra spell slot once per character per long rest, despite the Spell Slot Depleted condition on the item.
• Additional Spell Slot can grant an extra spell slot multiple times to the same character if that spell slot is used to create a  Sorcery Point.

Regarding Shield Bash:

• The description of this passive incorreclty states it requires a Dexterity saving throw; it instead requires a Strength saving throw.
