Sword of Chaos is a very rare +2 greatsword which deals additional ⁠⁠Necrotic damage and also restores a portion of the wielder's health on each successful hit.

The sword of Sarevok, brother of ⁠Gorion's Ward and child of the evil god Bhaal. Though much of its power died with him, the sword is still formidable, and glows with a malevolent light.

Notes

• The sword's healing effect does not trigger when the wielder attacks inanimate objects like items or scenery.
• The healing effect does not trigger on-heal effects such as  Blessed Mercy.
• The Sword of Chaos is also found in Baldur's Gate 2. The description of the item in Baldur's Gate 3 refers to the events of the storyline of the previous game.
