Involvement edit
A volatile mushroom, it will explode and deal fire damage when approached by unsuspecting creatures. Many torchstalk in an area can set off a chain reaction of explosions.
Destroying a Torchstalk specimen along with all other kinds of hazardous mushrooms in the Underdark grants an inspirational event 
for characters with the 
background.
