Front door

Nortale's Hostel is a two-storied boarding house in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate in Act Three. It is located almost across the Basilisk Gate Barracks X: 89 Y: -56.

Inside the party can find several NPCs, including Hostel Mother Pammella Nortale. Speaking with them doesn't trigger any important dialogues or quests.

From several notes that the party might find around the ground floor tell that since the influx of refugees tenfolded, the hostel began to run ragged, and the owner is actively searching the way to keep her establishment afloat.

At X: 89 Y: -68 back doors lead to the balcony over cliffed shore of Chionthar. In the far corner of it a passive DC 10 Perception check might point out a pouch with Note from Skarai and a Gold Ring. The note, as it goes, is addressed to someone connected to Baldur's Mouth Gazette.

The second floor is the dormitories area, where several Rustic Chests stand. All are locked and red-outlined, but some contain useful things. Near the window stands another NPC, Goris Ballast, but he doesn't seem to react if the party lockpick or loot the chests.

Notable Loot[edit | edit source]

All found in Rustic chests on the second floor of the hostel
