Despite appearances the Addled Frog has an unusually high Armour Class thanks to its Mucus ability and having Mirror Image when the fight begins. While it may have one attack, it's quite powerful and its AoE can hit multiple party members if they are grouped up. It will also use Jump quite often to create distance. Also, be wary of the first ranged attack or spell that hits it, since it will be reflected.
The Addled Frog has an unusually high Armour Class due to her Reflective Mucus passive and Mirror Image ability. While she only has one attack, Venomous Discharge is a powerful AoE that can strike multiple party members at once. The frog also frequently uses Jump to create distance. Additionally, the first ranged attack or spell that strikes the Addled Frog will be reflected due to Reflective Mucus. Notably, all missiles from the first Magic Missile spell are reflected.

While the Frog can prove to be quite deadly, it has relatively few Hit Points, and so it is vulnerable to a well-prepared melee fighter or a Sleep spell. If its Mucus trait is gone, a burst or two of Magic Missile will also likely kill it. However, considering the Frog only gives one experience and drops nothing, it's not worth picking a fight with.
While the Addled Frog can be quite deadly, she has relatively low health, and is vulnerable to melee fighters or the Sleep spell. After the initial projectile is reflected, using Magic Missile will likely kill the Addled Frog due to her low health.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Act One[edit | edit source]

Using Speak with Animals Speak with Animals reveals that the frog seems to be in a state of painful madness, somehow caused by the corruptive magic of Auntie Ethel Auntie Ethel. If the hag is dead or forced out of the area, the frog regains her sanity and leads the party to a hidden stash of items at X: 7 Y: 294 as a reward. Otherwise, the pouch can be identified by passing a passive DC 20 Perception check.

If pestered for too long, the frog becomes hostile.

Tactics[edit | edit source]

The Addled Frog has an unusually high Armour Class due to her Reflective Mucus passive and Mirror Image Mirror Image ability. While she only has one attack, Venomous Discharge is a powerful AoE that can strike multiple party members at once. The frog also frequently uses Jump Jump to create distance. Additionally, the first ranged attack or spell that strikes the Addled Frog will be reflected due to Reflective Mucus. Notably, all missiles from the first Magic Missile Magic Missile spell are reflected.

While the Addled Frog can be quite deadly, she has relatively low health, and is vulnerable to melee fighters or the Sleep Sleep spell. After the initial projectile is reflected, using Magic Missile Magic Missile will likely kill the Addled Frog due to her low health.
