Evasion is a Monk and Rogue passive feature that lets them evade area of effect damage which require Dexterity Saving Throws[See Notes], reducing or entirely negating the damage.
Description
Your agility lets you dodge out of the way of certain spells. When a spell or effect would deal half damage on a successful Dexterity saving throw, it deals no damage if you succeed, and only half damage if you fail.

Notes
- This does not do anything to mitigate any additional non-damaging effects that the triggering spell/effect might apply.
- Despite the description of this feature, it does not strictly matter whether an action has a Dexterity saving throw or whether it is a spell. As a rule of thumb, explosions which involve a Dexerity saving throw can be evaded (e.g. but not which uses a Dexterity saving throw but is single target). However, this is not true of every such explosion and there are actions without Dexterity saving throws which can also be evaded. Refer to this table for a comprehensive list of actions that can be evaded.
