'Barnabus' and his fellow gnolls, 'Timothy' 'Timothy' and 'Tomelia' 'Tomelia', work in Moonrise Towers' kitchens, being trained against their vicious nature by Linsella Linsella to speak and behave courteously.

After seeing a demonstration of Linsella's abilities, her controlling connection over 'Barnabus' can be broken by passing a DC 16 Wisdom check. The gnolls attack and kill Linsella, then attack the party unless another skill check is passed.
