Yrre the Sparkstruck was a gnomish inventor and tinkerer, with the creation of several in-game items attributed to them.[note 1] They enjoyed puns, spikes, and most of all electricity, inventing many objects that created or benefited from Damage TypesLightning.

History

Yrre became obsessed with lightning when they left the Underdark for the first time and encountered a powerful storm.[act1 a] Throughout their life, they invented many lightning-themed weapons and equipment, much of which was inspired by their sometime partner and fellow inventor, Lenore De Hurst.

Lenore was the owner of the Underdark's Arcane Tower, where the two lived for a time, working together on their inventions and magic. After a falling-out, Yrre left the tower.[act1 b] They eventually returned, hoping to reunite with Lenore, but she was long gone.[act3 a] Yrre waited for some time for Lenore to return to the tower, expecting her to be gone only a few tenday to Baldur's Gate, [1] but eventually gave up when she never did.

It is unknown what happened to Yrre after this, but many of their inventions are found scattered across the Underdark and Grymforge.
