Simple Weapons

Simple Weapons are weapons that are easy to learn and use. Any commoner can wield simple weapons in combat. Every classes except Druid, Monk, Wizard, are proficient with all type of simple weapons at level 1. When attacking with a Simple Weapon without proficiency, you can not add your Proficiency Bonus and suffer a -4 penalty to your Attack rolls.

Without Feats, only martial classes such as Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, have proficiency with all martial weapons at level 1.
