When first met, she has been poisoned and curing her is the aim of the Cure the Poisoned Gnome quest. She will eventually die if left uncured.

She also carries the Boots of Speed needed for the Find the Missing Boots quests, and they can be retrieved from her by killing her, allowing her to die, or by curing her.
Speaking with her after the player has completed the Cure the Poisoned Gnome quest will begin the Save the Grymforge Gnomes questline.
