Act One[edit section | visual editor]

Thulla lies next to SpawSpaw in the Ebonlake Grotto at X: 87 Y: -95 where she is slowly dying from the effects of a Duergar PoisonDuergar Poison. She was afflicted with this from a wound while escaping the duergar slavers from the Decrepit Village. Speaking with her starts Cure the Poisoned GnomeCure the Poisoned Gnome.

Thulla wears Boots of Speed which she stole from ThrinnThrinn before escaping Grymforge, presumably by leaping from a balcony near the dormitory at X: -610 Y: 465. The boots are needed to advance Find the Missing BootsFind the Missing Boots. Thulla offers the boots to the party if they successfully cure her of the poison and agree to help her fellow gnomes.

There are several methods to cure Thulla. The party can administer an Antidote, Duergar Antidote, an Elixir of Poison Resistance or perform spells such as Lay on HandsLay on Hands, Lesser RestorationLesser Restoration, or Protection from PoisonProtection from Poison.

Thulla may also be mercy killed if the interacting party member passes a DC 15 Persuasion Check DC 15 Persuasion Check to end her suffering. Killing Thulla in this way awards the party with 10 XP, but draws attention from the myconoids, demanding this action be explained.

Alternatively, it is possible to obtain the boots without curing her by stealing them following an Investigation roll or looting her corpse when she dies. Doing so grants the inspiration Swiftly StolenSwiftly Stolen to party members with the Criminal background.

Agreeing to help the other gnomes initiates Save the Grymforge GnomesSave the Grymforge Gnomes.

If Thulla is left to succumb to her poison over the course of the Deliver Nere's HeadDeliver Nere's Head quest, she may be encountered later as a spore servant wandering around near SpawSpaw. If other deep gnomes are rescued from enslavement and travel to the Myconid colony, they lament her death and transformation.

Act Three[edit section | visual editor]

If Thulla survives Act One, she can be encountered in Angleiron's Cellar with the Ironhand Gnome resistance. She crafts Runepowder explosives and occasionally discusses resistance plans with the party.
