  • Has Disadvantage Icon.png Disadvantage on Attack rolls and Checks.
  • Each turn, it must succeed on a Saving throw, or the poison will advance in stage. On 3 successes, it recovers. On 3 failures, it contracts the disease corresponding to the variant of the spell Contagion that was cast.

Notes

  • There are 3 stages to this effect. On initial application, it starts at Stage 1 and each failed saving throw advances it to the next stage. Failing a saving throw at Stage 3 removes this effect and applies the Contagion disease to the target.
  • The duration of this effect indicates the number of successful saving throws required to recover. It starts at 3 rounds and each successful save will reduce the duration by 1 round. Failing a saving throw and advancing to the next stage does not reset this duration so the successful saves do not need to be consecutive.
