score to 17. The enchantment has no effect if their Intelligence score is higher without it.

Notes
- This item originally provided the same effect as a regular Headband of Intellect, setting Intelligence to 19. However, this was decreased to 17 to reduce its power.
- Most effective on characters that both need Intelligence as a secondary ability score and also have several other needed ability scores, such as Eldritch Knight Fighters and Arcane Trickster Rogues.
- With Wizard, if you use this item to be able to prepare more spells than you are normally able to, all those spells will stay prepared even after you take it off.
