Rogue is a character class in Baldur's Gate 3.
Overview[edit section | visual editor]
Rogues are well versed in the art of stealth and rely on their resourcefulness to be in control of any challenging situation. Rogues use Dexterity as their primary ability score.

- Hit points
- At level 1: 8 + Constitution modifier
- On level up: 5 + Constitution modifier
- Key abilities
- Dexterity for physical attacks and Armour Class
- Constitution for Hit Points
- Intelligence for Spells (Arcane Trickster only)
- Charisma for "dirty trick" abilities (Swashbuckler only), (exception for sand toss)
- Spellcasting Ability
- Intelligence for the effective use of items, scrolls, and equipment.

- Saving throw proficiencies
- Dexterity, Intelligence
- Equipment proficiencies
- Simple weapons, Hand Crossbows, Longswords, Rapiers, Shortswords
- Light armour
- Skills with proficiency (Choose 4)
- Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Investigation, Perception, Performance, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, Stealth
- You receive a bonus to every Skill that you are Proficient in. At character level 1 the Proficiency Bonus is +2.
- Class Starting Equipment
- Shortsword, Leather Armour (purple variant), Leather Boots, Thieves' Tools, Grease Bottle x2

Through experience, you acquire new power. You gain the following traits.

- Sneak Attack damage
- +3d6 (Your sneak attack gains an additional +1d6 damage.)
- Use your lightning-quick reflexes to protect yourself. When an attack hits you, you only take half the usual damage.
Level 6[edit section | visual editor]
- Choose a Skill you are Proficient in. Your Proficiency Bonus is doubled for any Ability Check you make in that Skill.

- Sneak Attack damage
- +4d6 (Your sneak attack gains an additional +1d6 damage.)
- Your agility lets you dodge out of the way of certain spells. When a spell or effect would deal half damage on a successful Dexterity Saving Throw, it deals no damage if you succeed, and only half damage if you fail.
