Shadow Blade is a level 2 illusion spell. Create a Shadow Blade in your main hand that deals Damage TypesPsychic damage.

Description

Weave a shadowy shortsword in your hand that deals 2d8Damage TypesPsychic damage.

When you use the sword to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you make the Attack Roll with Advantage Icon.png Advantage. The shadow blade can be unequipped and equipped again, but must remain on the spellcaster's person.

Notes

  • As of the Patch 8 stress test, Shadow Blade is now a standard spell.
  • The caster will have innate proficiency with the summoned weapon so wizards and sorcerers who lack Shortsword proficiency will still be able to use it to its fullest potential.
