Notes

  • As a general rule, creatures have Advantage Icon.png Advantage on saving throws versus charm effects from enemies they are in active combat with. As a result, the saving throw for this action will always be rolled at advantage.
  • The saving throw does not always appear in the combat log.
  • The charm is applied after the triggering attack completes. This is also true of multiattacks and other attacks that involve multiple hits so the charm will not interrupt the sequence of attacks. As a result, this reaction is mainly useful against creatures who make multiple separate attacks with Extra Attack Extra Attack.
