Animate Dead is a level 6 necromancy spell. This a unique variant of Animate Dead that is cast by Balthazar when fought in Nightsong's Prison. When cast, this spell reanimates the many surrounding piles of bones into an army of skeletons. It cannot be learned by players and is only used by NPCs.

Awaken the dead from their century-long slumber.

How to learn

Notes

  • Will always be cast at the first available opportunity. Each pile of bones will reanimate into one of the following: Apostate Defender, Apostate Sentinel, Apostate Destroyer, Apostate Librarian. The outcome for each pile of bones is fixed and predetermined.
  • If a pile of bones is moved, the spawn point for the linked creature is moved to the same location. This can be abused by stacking multiple piles of bones on top of each other to make spawn points overlap, allowing multiple opponents to be damaged or killed quickly with area effect spells or pushing abilities like Thunderwave Thunderwave.
