Thunderwave is a level 1 evocation spell. It allows spellcasters to project out a deafening force that can hit multiple creatures and objects. Creatures hit by this force may be pushed away from the spellcaster.

Description

Release a wave of thunderous force that pushes away all creatures and objects in an area, while also dealing ThunderThunder damage.

Notes

  • If an affected creature passes the Saving throwSaving throw, in addition to only taking half damage, they are also not pushed back.
  • This spell can be used to push opponents into chasms.
  • Thunderwave has the same incantation as ShatterShatter: Dētonō, Latin for "To expend one's thunder" or "To roar out".[1]
