The Soul-Sworn Contract is a document created when the player accepts Raphael's deal.
Overview[edit | edit source]
In return for signing the contract, Raphael gives the party the 
Orphic Hammer in order to to free Orpheus. In exchange, the party must deliver the Crown of Karsus to Raphael after having defeated the Netherbrain.
Raphael will first attempt to make this deal in Sharess' Caress as part of 
. If the party refuses the deal, never fights Raphael, and then refuses to cooperate with the The Emperor during , Raphael will appear again and force the party to sign the contract to obtain the Orphic Hammer. Refusing the deal at this point will lead to a Game Over screen.
