The Orphic Hammer is a legendary, plot-critical +3 Warhammer with the power to shatter infernal bonds. It also grants the wielder Advantage on saving throws vs spells.
Every contract a devil makes has some form of insurance - this one is cast in infernal iron and was forged in deep, ruinous hellfire.

The holder of this item gains:
- Spell Resistance
- You have Advantage on Saving throws against spells.
Weapon actions
If you have proficiency, equip in main hand to gain:
- Backbreaker ()
- Put extra force behind your strike to possibly knock your enemy . ( Recharge: Short rest.)
- Concussive Smash ()
- Hit an enemy with all your might to deal damage and possibly them. ( Recharge: Short rest.)
- Weakening Strike ()
- Target an enemy's hands with a non-lethal attack and possibly inflict . ( Recharge: Short rest.)
Special weapon actions
This weapon also grants the following:
- Unshackling Strike ()
- Smite the magical bonds keeping a creature , , and , freeing it.

- This hammer is the only way to shatter the infernal crystals that shackle:
- Orpheus within the Astral Plane
- Hope within the House of Hope
- While listed here as a story item, it is also a legendary item. See: the
Raritydata field forLOW_OrphicHammer - If the player does not have the Orphic Hammer on hand and they choose side with Orpheus, Raphael, if still alive, comes to the Astral Plane to either hand it over to the party after signing a deal or return it to the party if the deal was signed. Refusing the deal, attacking him or not having the Orphic Hammer if Raphael is dead causes an instant Game Over.
- Attempting to throw the Orphic Hammer into a chasm immediately teleports it back to the nearest safe spot.
