Sizzling Cataclysm is a level 4 evocation spell. It is a variant of Kereska's Favour that allows its caster to imbue themselves with the power of acid and unlock resistances and spells associated with it. It is granted by Markoheshkir.

Description

Embrace Kereska's acid to gain Resistance to Acid damage. Your acid spells deal additional Acid damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus.


When you deal spell damage, inflict 1 turn of Noxious Fumes Noxious Fumes upon the target. While attuned to Kereska's acid you can cast Melf's Acid Arrow Melf's Acid Arrow and Hunger of Hadar Hunger of Hadar once each per Short Rest.

Notes

  • As of 2023-08-08, the in-game tooltip is incorrect and states this variant grants the spells granted by Deadlier than Arsenic instead.
  • Despite the tooltip claiming it inflicts 1 turn of Noxious Fumes, it actually inflicts 3 turns. Unlike the other variants of Kereska's Favour, this debuff is applied only once per spell, even if the spell is aoe or has multiple damage sources such as magic missile. Once the enemy has this debuff it cant be stacked higher or the turn timer reset until it has naturally expired.
