The Shadowfell is a location in the Gauntlet of Shar in the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Chapter Two. This area is the domain of Shar.
Gravity is lighter here than back on the material plane and as such you can jump a lot further without taking damage.
Jump downwards to reach the Nightsong. This may take some moving of the camera to find the next area you can jump to.
A cutscene will play and you get to decide whether Shadowheart will walk the path of light or darkness as the culmination of The Chosen of Shar. Kill the Nightsong to walk the path of Shar (and gain Shar's Spear of Evening) or turn from Shar and gain a powerful ally (and access to Selûne's Spear of Night later in the game).
If you free the Nightsong you will get an epic cutscene and the Moonlight Glaive.
Either way it's time to go confront Ketheric Thorm at Moonrise Towers. If Shadowheart has turned to the light she will have a crisis of faith.
