Shield of the Undevout is a very rare Shield that applies Disadvantage on Frightened Saving Throws to your foes and grants an additional level 1 spell slot. It also grants Shield Bash.

Where once this shield would protect the rallying forces of good - now it pushes them back, crushing them against their allies until they pop.

When a foe hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to knock it  Prone, unless they succeed a Strength saving throw.

Dreadful Hewer

Your foes have Disadvantage on Saving Throws to resist your spells or actions that inflict  Fear.

Additional Spell Slot

You gain 1  Level 1 Spell Slot.

Bugs

• Despite misleading tooltips, the Shield provides  Disadvantage on Saving Throws for many effects applying  Fearful or  Frightened conditions. Some exceptions are  Mortal Reminder,  Intimidating Presence,  Eyebite: Panicked and  Bow of the Banshee attacks.
• The Shield also provides Disadvantage against some non-expected abilities, namely  Turn the Unholy,  Turn the Faithless and  Fey Presence: Beguiling.
• Additional Spell Slot can grant an extra spell slot once per character per long rest, despite the Spell Slot Depleted condition on the item.
