Duelling is a fighting style passive feature.
Description
When you are wielding a melee weapon that is not Two-Handed in one hand, and no weapon in the other, you deal an additional 2 damage with that weapon.
You can carry a shield in your free hand and still gain this bonus.
How to learn
Classes:
- Class level 1: Fighter
- Class level 2: Ranger and Paladin
- Class level 3: College of Swords
- Class level 10: Champion
Used by creatures:
Notes
- This passive adds its damage to Throw attacks with Thrown weapons that hit while wielding a qualifying weapon with the melee weapon set selected. The Thrown weapon cannot be equipped prior to throwing it, unless it is dual wielded and in the main hand.
- If the Thrown weapon is in the off-hand, it does not receive the bonus damage unless no ranged weapon is equipped.
- The bonus damage is added even if the Thrown weapon is Two-Handed.
- Prior to Patch 8, the description implied that Versatile weapons could not be used to gain the bonus damage.
Bugs
- A thrown duelling weapon will not receive any additional damage unless it possesses the Thrown weapon property.
