Wilting Alex can be found dead in the Undercity Ruins, close to the Bhaal Temple.
Wilting Alex was killed by Orin the Red. Her body was used as a component of Orin's "art" as an effigy to Amelyssan, a priestess of Bhaal defeated more than a century ago, along with bodies of Lupir Neswaen, Hubersa Declensios, Isaan Thibault, Goxxoon, and Quelat Quimms.
Wilting Alex's corpse can be looted for one of 
and the sixth of Orin's Ritual Notes.

- Wilting Alex's in-game model, as well as the model of Echo of Amelyssan (Amelyssan's ghost at the Murder Tribunal), is designed to copy Amelyssan's image from the previous Baldur's Gate games, save for the haircut that only resembles her helm.
- Other corpses strewn around Wilting Alex's body resemble once more all the Bhaalspawn of the group known as The Five, led by Amelyssan slyly and subtly long time ago. Though not being a Bhaalspawn herself, Amelyssan achieved almost a demigod status in an attempt to revive Bhaal himself.
