Duke Ravengard's Longsword

Duke Ravengard's Longsword is a rare, lightly enchanted (+1) special variant of the Longswords family of weapons. It is a martial melee weapon that can be wielded in one hand, or with both hands for extra damage.

Cradling his newborn son awkwardly, the Duke's face pulled into a rictus of misery. His love Francesca smiled at him, briefly, and died. He stared at her until the boy cried, and he told the boy it would be all right, though he himself did not believe it.

The holder of this item gains:

Stirring Execution

When you kill an enemy, allies within 9 m / 30 ft gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma Modifier (minimum 1).

•  Commander's Strike: Direct an ally to strike a foe. The ally uses a Reaction on their next turn to make a weapon attack. Once per Short Rest.
• Charisma +2

Weapon actions

If you have proficiency, equip in main hand to gain:

• Pommel Strike ()

  Make a non-lethal attack against an enemy and possibly  Daze them.

• Lacerate ()

  Slash at your target's vital points to make it  Bleed.

• Rush Attack ()

  Charge forward and attack the first enemy in your way, possibly pushing them  Off Balance.

Notes

The temporary hit points granted by the Stirring Execution feature are actually based on the Charisma modifier of the character receiving them, not the character holding the sword. The minimum of 1 still applies. This may be a bug rather than an intentional feature.
