Infernal Rapier

Infernal Rapier image

The Infernal Rapier is a very rare +2 rapier and a possible reward for following Wyll's companion quest. It raises the wielder's Spell Save DC and, unlike other rapiers, uses their Spellcasting Modifier for Attack Rolls and Damage Rolls instead of Strength or Dexterity.

Imagine the soul as a blade. A good one, carefully looked after. A bad one suited for rusting in the rain. Flame-chewed and narrow, this blade is Wyll's soul summarised in steel.

Where to find

Notes

  • The party must bring Wyll along when entering the Tadpoling Centre, free Mizora, then pass a DC 14 Persuasion check DC 14 Persuasion check check to convince her to give a reward.
  • The summoned CambionCambion is immediately dismissed if the Infernal Rapier is unequipped.
  • Like ShillelaghShillelagh and Sylvan Scimitar, this weapon uses the character's highest available spellcasting ability rather than the most recent, or their default spellcasting ability if no other is available.

Bugs

  • Despite not stating such anywhere, and unlike most summons, the Cambion is automatically dismissed if the summoner is knocked unconscious.
