Notes

  • Compared with the weapon summoned by the normal Flame Blade Flame Blade spell, attacks with the racial variant count as a melee weapon attack instead of a melee spell attack. This means it behaves like an ordinary weapon for all relevant interactions. For example, it benefits from Arcane Synergy Arcane Synergy while a normal Flame Blade does not.
  • The ability modifier used for the attack roll is always Charisma, regardless of the caster's class. This is also true when used with Booming Blade Booming Blade (unlike the normal Flame Blade).
  • The summoned weapon does not interact with  Gloves of Battlemage's Power or  Pyroquickness Hat, unlike with the normal spell.
  • Other aspects of this weapon are the same as the normal Flame Blade; refer to the notes of that spell for more details.
