Spear of Night is a rare, lightly enchanted (+1) variant of the Spears family of weapons. It is a simple melee weapon that can be wielded in one hand, or with both hands for extra damage. Its design lends itself well to be thrown at enemies as a projectile.

- Acquiring the weapon grants the inspiration Made of Shadows to party members with the Guild Artisan background.
- This item is critical to the quest The Chosen of Shar and Shadowheart turns hostile if the party attempt to enter the Shadowfell without it.
- Depending on the choices made in The Chosen of Shar, this item is replaced by one of the following:

- If Shadowheart has lost the Spear while already in the Shadowfell, Aylin mocks her for losing the only weapon that could kill her. The story then progresses as if Shadowheart has chosen to spare the Nightsong.
