- Being
disguised as a Drow when equipping the 
Cruel Sting also activates the effect. - Sting the Helpless deals extra poison damage to a creature under any condition in the Restrained status group, which includes (but is not limited to):
Black Tentacles, via 
Evard's Black Tentacles
Ensnared, via 
Ensnaring Strike and all its variations
Entangled, via 
Entangle or Umbral Tangle
