Fighting Style is a class feature available to Fighters at Level 1, Paladins and Rangers at Level 2, College of Swords Bards at Level 3 and Champion Fighters again at Level 10. Each fighting style can only be chosen once.

When you are wielding a melee weapon that is not Two-Handed or Versatile in one hand, and no weapon in the other, you deal an additional 2 damage with that weapon.

When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack with a Two-Handed melee weapon, that die is rerolled once.
  • This also applies to Versatile weapons wielded with both hands.
  • Unlike in 5th Edition rules, added damage dice from sources like Superiority Dice, Divine Smite, and a Fire- or Poison-dipped weapon may also be rerolled.

When you have a Shield, impose Disadvantage Icon.png Disadvantage on an enemy who attacks one of your allies when you are within 1.5 m / 5 ft. You must be able to see the enemy.
