Philgrave's Mansion is a location in the city of Baldur's Gate. It is located by the waterfront next to the Counting House and Felogyr's Fireworks. It can be entered either by detecting and lockpicking the stone wall X: -8 Y: -158, destroying the stone wall, using the hole in the wall X: 29 Y: -166 to sneak in, or by reaching the upper balcony and lockpicking the balcony entrance.

Top Floor

Room above the stairs.

A macabre area littered with bodies and blood. Some Ghouls and a Ghast can be found here. If entrance is gained from this floor the Ghast will ask the player to leave. A Beggar's Portrait X: 8 Y: -155 can be found in the room above the stairs. The portrait is trapped. Passing a DC 15 check will reward a quest-related letter called Thrumbo's Note.

Middle Floor

Secret door.

Not much can be said about this floor. It is messy. A couple of interesting interactions are available:

• X: 2 Y: -166: A lever can be found which opens a door to the basement.
• X: 18 Y: -157: A secret stone door can be found. The room behind reveals a ladder to a secret room on the bottom floor.

Bottom Floor

Secret exit.

The bottom floor is separated into the living area and a secret room. The secret room is accessed through a secret door on the middle floor. A trapdoor leading to the basement can be found in the secret room. The living area is accessed either from the stairs to the middle floor or through a secret door in the outer wall. Mystic Carrion resides in the living area alongside a Ghast.

Basement

This is a location named 'Philgrave's Mansion - Basement'. This is a laboratory that has seen use. Multiple potions and alchemical ingredients can be found in the basement. An Elixir of Necrotic Resistance can be found on the table. If the Dark Amethyst was not previously acquired in the Blighted Village, then it can be obtained here. A quest-related book called A Mummy's Memories can be found on the table as well. Reading the book will update the quest Defeat Mystic Carrion.
