Properties

  • Amulets Amulets
  • Rarity: Rare
  •  Weight: 0.05 kg / 0.1 lb
  • Price: 380 gp

Special

The wearer of this item gains:

  • Shatter: Cast Shatter once per Short Rest.
    • High Spirits: The amulet's spirit lingers, making everything seem a little more vibrant. Must succeed a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC 10) when using the amulet's power, or become Hysterical (equivalent in effect to Tasha's Hideous Laughter with a duration of 1 turn).
  • Talk to the Sentient Amulet: As a free action, the wearer can start a conversation with the amulet.

Where to find

In a locked Adamantine Chest near the Lava Elemental in Grymforge (X:-624, Y:224).

Notes and Trivia

  • Picking up the amulet will trigger a conversation in which the amulet tries to get you to surrender to a fit of laughter. This is a hint at the curse the amulet bears.
  • Once the conversation is over, you'll receive the quest Help the Cursed Monk.
  • A later journal entry for this quest seems to imply that overusing the amulet's power will increase the severity of the curse, but it is unclear what effect this has, if any.
