Callous Glow Ring image

Callous Glow Ring is an uncommon Ring that causes the wearer to deal an additional 2 Radiant damage to illuminated creatures every time they deal damage.

A grudging gleam emits from this ring - more an indictment of light than an endorsement.

Where to find

Notes

  • The Callous Glow effect requires the target to be standing in a light level of Clear Area Clear Area. Due to this, the Callous Glow Ring has synergy with weapons that shed their own light, such as The Blood of Lathander or the Moonlight Glaive.
  • Actions and spells which deal multiple instances of damage, like Flurry of Blows Flurry of Blows, Magic Missile Magic Missile, or Scorching Ray Scorching Ray apply the additional damage for every instance.
  • This ring works well in conjunction with the Coruscation Ring, which applies Radiating Orb Radiating Orb on targets hit by a wearer whom is illuminated. This means a caster standing in light will apply Radiating Orb to their target(s), which in turn will be illuminated - and thus receive 2 points of Radiant damage.
  • The 2RadiantRadiant damage is added to almost all damage sources originating from the wearer.
  • The 2RadiantRadiant is added to other sources of radiant damage rather than added separately, which helps when trying to overcome damage thresholds.

Bugs

  • Callous Glow does not specify the damage type, but it is RadiantRadiant.
