Whenever a creature deals melee damage to the wearer, that creature takes 1d4Acid Damage.

Notes

• Caustic Reprisal only activates if the wearer takes damage. For example when damage is reduced to 0 by  Arcane Ward, Caustic Reprisal does not activate.
• Acid damage from Caustic Reprisal does not activate the  Ichorous Corrosion passive.
• Due to the way Baldur's Gate 3 handles its damage calculations, if the attacker lands a critical hit, "Caustic Reprisal" damage is doubled from 1d4 to 2d4.
