Reverberation (Condition)
(Redirected from Reverberation)
- Affected entity has a -1 penalty to Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution Saving throws per remaining turn.
- When the entity has 5 or more turns of Reverberation, it takes 1d4Thunder damage and must succeed a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or fall Prone. The condition is removed afterward.
Condition: Prone
Prone
Duration: 2 turns
DC 10 Constitution saving throw
- The affected creature cannot move or take Actions, Bonus Actions, or Reactions, and has Disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
- Attacks against a Prone creature have Advantage if made within 3 m / 10 ft of the creature.
- A Prone creature must spend half its Movement Speed to stand up.
- A character with the Athlete feat spends only 1.5 m / 5 ft of Movement Speed to stand up.
Notes
- Since the penalty to Constitution saving throws is also applied to the saving throw against being knocked Prone after stacking 5 turns of Reverberation, the DC for this saving throw is effectively 15.
Bugs
- Despite the description, no such mechanics exist to prevent Thunder-immune creatures from receiving Reverberation.
- In real-time mode, none of the effects described for applying 5 or more turns occur but the duration is still capped at 5 turns.
- If the saving throw for Prone triggers any reaction which prompts for confirmation, Prone is not applied and the saving throw is not recorded in the Combat Log regardless of the result or whether any reactions are selected. If the saving throw was caused by multiple sources of Reverberation, multiple consecutive confirmation prompts might appear instead of one and the text line which names the involved entities is missing.
Items that apply Reverberation[edit | edit source]
- : When the wearer inflicts a condition upon a hostile creature, they also inflict 2 turns of Reverberation.
- : When the wielder deals Radiant, Lightning, or Thunder damage, apply 2 turns of Reverberation to the target(s).

- : When the wearer deals damage with a ranged Spell Attack, inflict 2 turns of Reverberation on the target(s).
Items that interact with Reverberation[edit | edit source]
- : If the wearer bears the Absolute's brand, they deal 1 additional Thunder damage with Thunder damage spells and attacks. [Currently works even if the wearer is not branded]
- : When the wearer deals Thunder damage to a Reverberating creature, it becomes Dazed unless it succeeds a Constitution Saving Throw.
- : When a creature with Reverberation deals damage to the wearer, the creature needs to make a Constitution Saving Throw or become Dazed.
- Everything in the Thunder set combos with and . It further fits thematically: 5 stacks of Reverberation deal Thunder damage and creatures immune to Thunder cannot receive a stack of Reverberation.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- Until Patch #3, Reverberation was bugged. While it applied the stacking penalties to Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution Saving Throws, it did not deal thunder damage and prone. As of Patch #3, now works as described.
- The different items that can apply Reverberation do not all work as expected from their description.
- Creatures knocked Prone by Reverberation occasionally do skip their next turn unlike other Sources of Prone.
