Shadow Magic is a subclass of Sorcerer, released as part of Patch 8 in 2025. [url 1]

This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Sorcerer, in addition to its unique features outlined below.

Level 1[edit section | visual editor]

Eyes of the DarkEyes of the Dark
You can see in the dark up to 24 m / 80 ft.
Strength of the GraveStrength of the Grave
After reaching 0 Hit Points, you regain 1 instead of becoming downed.

Level 3[edit section | visual editor]

DarknessDarkness (Action + Level 2 Spell Slot)
Create a cloud of magical darkness that Heavily ObscuresHeavily Obscures and inflicts BlindBlind to creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.
Eyes of the Dark: DarknessEyes of the Dark: Darkness (Action + 2 Sorcery Point)
Create a dark shroud that Heavily Obscures and Blinds creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.

Hound of Ill OmenHound of Ill Omen (Bonus Action + 3 Sorcery Point)
Summon forth a creature of darkness. (Recharge: Short rest Recharge: Short rest.)

Level 11[edit section | visual editor]

Shadow WalkShadow Walk (Bonus Action)
Teleport into the shadows. The next spell you cast that turn will benefit from Distant Spell Distant Spell without costing any Sorcery Points.
