Notes

  • This item seems to have no purpose other than to be sold to Traders for a bit of extra gold.
  • Lae'zel Lae'zel may comment on the potential of the ring when both pieces are found: 'Hm - the other part of that ring. Once repaired, it could be useful.' Any use it may have beyond being sold, however, remains unknown.
  • Karlach Karlach will comment: 'Hey, I recognise this. Fits with the other part of that shattered ring. Progress!'
  • Similarly, Astarion Astarion will comment: 'This looks familiar - the missing part from that ring. You will look lovely once you're fixed.'

Bugs

  • The game code shows that this ring should be named "Magic Ring" with the description "Considered sacred by some gnomes and halflings, the gem set in this ring sparkles brilliantly." due to its Item Template. However, when the game spawns items created via Item Combination it ignores Item Template and instead defaults to Parent Template, which in this case is LOOT_GEN_Ring_A_Simple_Gold and thus why this ring appears with the name and description that it has.
