Combining is a crafting mechanic that allows for the creation of select Items through the combination of other items, and enables some environmental interactions.

Dyes[edit | edit source]

Main article: Dyes

The color of many pieces of equipment can be modified through the use of consumable Dyes. Interacting with a dye in inventory will prompt the combine dialogue, to which any piece of equipment can be added.[1]

Freely Craftable[edit | edit source]

These items can be crafted in inventory, regardless of location. Interacting with any of the constituent components in dialogue will open the combining dialogue:

Hellfire Engine Crossbow[edit | edit source]

The Hellfire Engine Crossbow can be crafted by combining:

Location Specific[edit | edit source]

These items can be only be crafted by combining their constituent parts in an Environmental object. Interacting with the object will open the combining dialogue:

Adamantine Equipment[edit | edit source]

Up to two items from the Adamantine set can be crafted in the Adamantine Forge Adamantine Forge as part of the quest Adamantine Forge Adamantine Forge by combining Mithral Ore with one of the following moulds:

Sussur Weapons[edit | edit source]

One of the following three weapons can be crafted from a ordinary instance of the weapon and Sussur Tree Bark in the Blacksmith's Forge Blacksmith's Forge as part of the quest Finish the Masterwork Weapon Finish the Masterwork Weapon:

Shadow Lantern[edit | edit source]

The Shadow Lantern can be crafted by Gale Gale in Balthazar's chambers Balthazar's chambers from:

  1. Some pieces of equipment are unaffected by dyes
  2. This ring is unique, and distinct from other Tarnished Rings
  3. While the Szarr Palace Szarr Palace and the Temple of Bhaal Temple of Bhaal also require a Szarr Family Ring and Amulet of Bhaal respectively, this is achieved through dialogue.[Needs Verification]
  4. The platform can be bypassed though flying flying or jumping jumping from specific locations. The door to the Verge of Shadows can be opened with Knock Knock
  5. This lift is distinct from the central platform, and entierly optional since the levels it connects are also linked by stairs.
