Lyrthindor Model.png
Dark Justiciars are elite warriors of Shar, who were gifted with supernatural abilities and carried out her will throughout Faerun. There are very few living Dark Justiciars remaining in Baldur's Gate 3; the vast majority appear as a race of Undead creatures, serving the Lady of Loss in death.

Background

Dark Justiciars were far more powerful in the past, when they captured Moonrise Towers lead by Ketheric Thorm and held the area for many years before finally being defeated by a broad coalition of the forces of good, including Harpers and Emerald Grove druids.

Dark Justiciars were anointed at the Gauntlet of Shar: after going through a rigorous and potentially deadly series of trials, each Justiciar had to take the life of the Selunite imprisoned at the heart of the Shadowfell.[1]

Racial description

Remnants of the once-living that are trapped between life and death.

Appearance

Living Dark Justiciars are almost nonexistent. The vast majority of then were defeated at Reithwin; an unknown Orthon (which may be Yurgir) smashed through their major stronghold at Grymforge, while almost every remaining Justiciar in the Gauntlet of Shar was hunted down and killed by Yurgir under the orders of Raphael. However, many undead Justiciars continue to guard the Gauntlet.
